Looking For An Accountant?I am often asked if I am taking new clients. The answer is "yes", but it does depend on the type of work you want done. I provide primarily corporate and personal tax compliance and planning services. This extends to preparing deceased taxpayer and estate returns. However, I do not do audits or review engagements for companies. If you require this type of work, I would be happy to provide names of colleagues who can help you.Another frequent question is "what are your rates?" I know the market for accounting and tax services, and my fees are competitive. My first priority is to provide quality services. I charge based on the value of the service, not necessarily the time spent. This might seem like a different approach, but I have found that it works well for both the client and myself. The client knows approximately what the fee is and there are no surprises. If you want to bring in a set of books and tell me what you need, I can give you an estimate. However, I do not give fee estimates over the phone or by e-mail. If you have a company and wish to discuss the possibility of using my services, I can meet with you at no charge and no obligation. We can then decide how to pursue from there. I can provide client names for reference purposes, if that is desirable. If you need an individual or estate tax return prepared, I prefer that you have a reference from an existing client or colleague.
